Moon Pleiades Conjunction 1st April 2006 (8 images)

The images were taken from the Croydon Astronomical Societies Observatory at Kenley Surrey on Saturday 1st April 2006. They were taken with a Canon 10D using a Canon zoom lens set at f8, they were mostly taken with a 200mm focal length. There is some evidence of flare inside the lens in some of the pictures. Also note that the illuminated fraction of the moon is over exposed to show the Pleiades - the contrast ratio is too great to show them both. The images have not been processed with the exception of making them smaller for the web site. If you find an unexpected star in the Pleiades it may be a hot pixel as the Canon Software does not eliminate them all.
